7upper

In collaboration with Kaytie Gamble

Integrated ad campaign aimed at reviving 7up by creating a new product. The 7upper is targeted towards a new target consumer who craves a more sophisticated beverage. Our goal was to create a culture associated with the product and we urged consumers to “Join the 7upper Class”.

It’s meant to live amongst the sparkling waters and Italian sodas on the shelf, a market that other big soda names like Coca-Cola and Pepsi currently don’t compete in.

To promote the new product, pop-up lounges will appear in various parts of the city to offer free tastings as well as a place to hang out & mingle.

7up is also known to be a popular cocktail mixer. So a print campaign will run on drink coasters and be distributed at cocktail lounges & upscale bars. Each coaster features a rule of etiquette for the perfect 7upper to live by. So why not have a Gin & 7upper?

Along with the coasters, a traditional print ad will run in magazines illustration one of the etiquette rules.

A Perfect Day for Salinger

I started working on this series in the late fall of 2009. Then with the passing of J.D. Salinger in January 2010, I felt obligated to complete this project.

Each cover features hand-drawn type using various mediums ranging from ink to cigarette ashes.

The seemingly bare appearance of these covers reflect Salinger’s reclusive nature.
